Privacy Policy

Chronur (“Chronur,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a mobile app and companion website that help you manage focus, sleep, health, and daily discipline. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Chronur mobile app and to chronur.com.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.

Health and activity data you enter or generate in the app, including:

• Sleep sessions (start/end times, sleep score, disruption events, movement data)
• Focus session history (duration, completion, profile settings)
• Energy check-ins and daily energy scores
• Schedule events, alarms, and reminders you create
• Conversations with the in-app AI assistant, used to help plan and adjust your schedule

Device permissions. With your consent, the app may access:

• Microphone — to detect movement and disruptions while you sleep. Audio is analyzed on-device for sound levels; we do not store raw audio recordings.
• Camera — to scan a QR code as one of the methods used to dismiss an enforced alarm.
• Motion & step sensors — to measure movement during sleep and to verify physical steps when dismissing an alarm.
• App usage / screen time data — to power the screen-time and app-blocking features, the app reads which apps are installed and how long they're used in the foreground. This data stays on your device except where aggregate screen-time stats are synced to your account as described below.
• Notifications — to deliver alarms, reminders, and schedule notifications.

Subscription and payment information. If you subscribe to Chronur Pro, payment is handled by the Apple App Store / Google Play billing systems or our payment processor. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and tier, not your full payment card details.

Usage data. Basic technical information (device type, app version, crash logs) to help us maintain and improve the app.

How we use your information

• To provide core functionality: scheduling, alarms, sleep tracking, focus sessions, and the AI planning assistant
• To sync your data across your devices and the chronur.com dashboard
• To personalize insights (e.g. sleep trends, energy patterns, screen-time summaries)
• To process subscriptions and manage your account
• To send you service-related notifications (alarms, reminders, account emails)
• To maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the app

We do not sell your personal information.

AI assistant & third-party processing

The in-app AI planning assistant sends the messages you write, along with relevant schedule context needed to answer your request, to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate a response. We do not use your health or schedule data to train third-party models.

Where your data is stored

Your account and synced data are stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Some data (e.g. detailed sleep movement buckets) may remain only on your device and never leave it unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke microphone, camera, motion, notification, or usage-access permissions at any time in your device settings — some features (like sleep-disruption detection or app-blocking) won't work without the relevant permission.
• You can edit or delete your schedule, alarms, and conversation history from within the app.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (below). We will delete your data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it (e.g. billing records).

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, other than records we're legally required to keep (such as billing history).

Children's privacy

Chronur is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
